Description: 1. Gag your sub. 2. Activate "No-IM" for "tight..." and "loose..." as well. (Just to have a better overview; the bug gets triggered without activating "No-IM" too.) 3. Set a random configuration for "No-IM" and the related whitelists inside both menus. ("tight..." and "loose...") 4. Tighten or loosen the gag, dependend on it's current state. (It works in both directions.) What should happen: The settings should be kept. What actually happens: Dependend on wether you choose "loose..." or "tight..." a certain configuration is set automatically for both settings. Choosing "loose..." always permits sub to IM anyone and choosing "tight..." always forbids her to IM anyone. The next bug-report (Issue #299) refers to another aspect of the same problem. It would have been quite complex to put this all inside a single report, I believe. |

Hey Miriam, I've done some tests, and can't repro this issue. I'm not sure whether I misunderstand your steps or you misunderstand how the settings work... e.g. 1. Set No-IM ON for Gag Menu > settings > tight... 2. Set No-IM OFF for Gag Menu > settings > loose... 3. Now Gag Menu > Tighten; and you should not be able to IM anyone (unless on whitelist or Owner) 4. Now Gag Menu > Loosen; and you can IM again. Now if you were already on Tight when doing step 1 above, the RLV commands will immediately be issued so you will not be able to IM anyone. However, if you were on Loose at the time, nothing will happen until your Gag is Tightened. |

Hi Lulu, of course I've understood that the restrictions for "tight..." are just active, if the gag actually is worn tightly and so are the ones for "loose..." as well; they're just active, if the gag actually is worn loosened. The malfunction, I'm experiencing does the following: No matter, which settings have been chosen before, be it inside the menu for "tight..." or "loose...", they get replaced by a certain configuration as soon as a before loosened worn gag gets changed to "tight" or vice versa a tightly worn gag gets changed to "loose". An example: Let's begin with a loosened worn gag. Let's do some finetuning inside both settings-menus. "tight..."-menu: "Owners" = OFF, "whitelist..." = ON "loose..."-menu: "Owners" = ON, "whitelist..." = OFF The settings we did for the "loose..."-menu become active ("Owners" = ON, "whitelist..." = OFF), because the gag is worn loosened currently. Everything's fine so far. Now we tighten the gag. The settings we did for "tight..." should become active ("Owners" = OFF, "whitelist..." = ON). Actually it's "Owners" = OFF, "whitelist..." = OFF instead. This isn't just visible inside the viewer's RLV-restrictions-list. If we go to the settings menu for "tight..." now, both options there have gotten switched to OFF in the meantime. We proceed by wearing the gag loosened again. The settings we did for "loose..." should become active ("Owners" = ON, "whitelist..." = OFF). Actually it's "Owners" = ON, "whitelist..." = ON instead. If we go to the settings menu for "loose..." now, both options there have gotten switched to ON in the meantime. This procedere can be repeated with all possible settings in both menus. The result will always be the same: As soon as a loosened worn gag gets worn tightly or a tightly worn gag gets worn loosened, the settings having been made inside both menus get replaced by the following configuration: "loose..."-menu: "Owners" = ON, "whitelist..." = ON "tight..."-menu: "Owners" = OFF, "whitelist..." = OFF |

Ok now I understand what you're saying. You have indeed found a bug, but there's something that I think you're misunderstanding as well - the Owner=on/off and whitelist=on/off setting is *global*. Doesn't matter whether you set it in the Tight... menu or the loose... menu - the last change you made to Owner=on/off and whitelist=on/off is the one that will be applied whenever No-IM is applied (and it doesn't matter whether No-IM is applied when you Tighten gag, or Loosen gag). "...the Owner=on/off and whitelist=on/off setting is *global*." Ops! Now I've got it finally. Sorry for me having been pretty slow this time. I suggest to keep this issue (Even its title still looks matching to me.) and to close Issue #301, which has become invalid now. |
